Jack and Molly Campbell have a perfect life with adopted four-year-old Joey until they learn that Joey's biological father, Rip, is getting out of prison and wants custody. When a judge grants Rip's request, the Campbells must choose either to follow the court order or disappear with the boy. Kingsbury's stereotypical characters and predictable plot turns detract from the effectiveness of her prose, but the fast pace and the author's infectious style will keep her fans coming back for more. Recommended where Kingsbury is in demand. The author of the -Red Gloves - and -Redemption - series lives in Washington State.
